Walt: We went to Kariotahi Beach and learned about Being sunsmart

 Thursday, December 7th, 2017 Yesterday We went to Kariotahi beach It was really stinky Becuase there was a dead stingray

They taught us to be sun smart and always wear sunscreen with an artificial 50 layers of skin
They told us not to fight a rip because  not even  Micheal Phillips can fight a rip Next they taught us to keep our eyes covered with sunglasses they said doesn't matter if it is $1000 dollar glassed  Or $2 dollar glasses as long as it shields you form Uv Rays


I learnt to be SunSmart an always wear sunscreen don't swim in waters you don feel safe in and stay safe all the time


If you find your self-drowning leave one hand up don't wave because the lifeguard will think you're saying hi so leave you're hand up if you hand gets tired to do the other hand  and wait until the lifeguard comes and gets you

Walt: Use facts to support our ideas

I wrote a letter to my principal to help our school environment by planting trees  .

I learned that if we  grow our own food we don't need to buy fruit and we can save money for the school.

First I drew up a plan, I grouped my ideas then I wrote them down into sentences and then I published.

Me and Zidane Done this slide at first it was hard and then the teacher helped us and then it got easy
The steps we took is we wrote $100 Dollar note $10 Dollar Note $ and 1 dollar coin we line up the numbers and worked it out

Bike Safety

Last Week Wednesday we done bike safety. They taught  To have 2 fingers over the eyebrow. and a v around you ear and make sure your helmet is not loose.
And they make us to check if The tyres are hard not soft. Make sure the reflectors are on. And make sure both brakes work and. Be safe

I learnt to check if all the parts of your bike work. And check if there's 2 finger space between your eyebrow and your helmet.  And I would like to go on a big adventure on a bike.

Matariki

WALT: We are learning about Matariki

Matariki is coming soon and are you planing to see the stars?
In school I've been learning about Matariki. And I know the seven stars are the seven sisters they can only be seen once a year at 6:30. I really want to see Matariki Because I've never seen the 7 stars Here's the a Matariki song  of the seven sisters.

Walt: We are  learning about forces 
First we made a aeroplane then we watched 20 min video we learned that if two truck went the same speed but if one goes faster the truck will get puled

I thought making a plane was easy and I thought Doing this piece of writing was hard but i eventually finished it. I leared about friction you can make friction by putting soap and water it takes a long time to warm up but if your hands are dry it takes a shorter time.⭐

Kariotahi Beach

On Tuesday we went to Kariotahi  beach and the waves were huge first they gave us a tour around the club then we had morning tea after morning tea we played beach  games like seaweed and after we finish the  game then we went to the water  and we were ducking under waves and jumping over the water was really salty tho oh and did I mention the sand was black?  Yeah so the sand was basically black  I didn't know why but I think it is natural but we had fun I wish we could go back.
