Soft Smooth Butter

                    Smooth Butter In Minutes 

     In the old day's there were no electronics. Therefore, the people had  to mix cream  with a churn to make butter.

On Monday 14 November, Room 10 in Park Estate School, Year 5's were learning how to make butter. We wanted to know if Homemade butter is tastier than the shop butter. 


What you need to make butter: 


250ml Cream 

Electric mixer
1 teaspoon Salt
Spatula  
Airtight container 

Method:

Mix cream with electric mixer.
It will transform into a grainy substance.
Keep on mixing till it is fluffy.
You will see stiff peaks.
Breaks down into cottage cheese. 
Butter will separate from milk turning the milk to buttermilk .
It will start getting stiffer.
Butter will be clumping up.
Buttermilk pool at bottom of the bowl.
The buttermilk will look like watery milk.  
Get all of your butter on the side of the bowl and squeeze all the buttermilk out.
But it is still dirty, so pour water on the butter, kneading to get all the buttermilk out.

Repeat the processes until the water is transparent.

Add some salt.

Then put it in an airtight container, and enjoy tasty smooth butter on freshly baked bread.Mmmmm...!
